2018 release. All tracks demonstrate the range of pop styles by Stevenson and his collaborator, the Grammy Award winner Bill Drescher, who also produced and engineered the project. Recorded mainly in Lake Tahoe, California, Drescher's contribution to this collection has been superlative and far reaching. Bruce took up the solo challenge as a result of being inspired by his two daughters. He felt compelled to write music that would always be heartfelt, and also something he could hand over as a present to his family, friends and some of the die-hard Alien Cowboys fans. Thus, the creation of Thanking Jupiter became his labor of love. Thanking Jupiter is a metaphor for how lucky the human race is. Without Jupiter's gravitational pull, Earth would have been destroyed by a meteor long ago. It's a parallel metaphor for Bruce's life in that he was lucky enough to be encouraged and creatively supported, and without that, music might have been much different for him. Bruce enjoys playing his own songs, but receives inspiration from all the great songs and good music of his youth.
