Limited Edition LP. Deluxe 180-Gram Reissue. Including Original Artwork. First LP reissue in almost 40 years of the original soundtrack from the iconic 1972 film Cabaret, directed by Bob Fosse and starring Liza Minnelli and British actor Michael York. The soundtrack was directed and conducted by Ralph Burns, who would win the Academy Award as music supervisor as a result of it. The film was even more successful than the stage show from which it originated, and the soundtrack LP went gold, outselling it's original Broadway cast counterpart. It contains some definitive Minnelli performances, particularly her renditions of the title song and, in a duet with Joel Grey, on the salaciously satirical "Money, Money."
