2014 two CD set, the first-ever collection of tracks recorded by Bob 'Catfish' Hodge's on three albums for Armen Boladian's Westbound and Eastbound labels: BOOGIEMAN GONNA GET YA (1972), DINOSAURS AND ALLEYCATS (1974) and SOAP OPERA'S (sic) from 1975. In addition we have added three previously unreleased tracks. The mix is Boogie Rock, singer/songwriter introspection with a little touch of Detroit Soul. His first album was produced by Funkadelic's Calvin Simon at the same time as the sessions for the AMERICA EATS IT'S YOUNG LP were being recorded. The follow-up was recorded at Motown Studio B in Detroit. The West Coast-sounding third album featured guest appearances from Bonnie Raitt, Dr John and Flying Burrito Brother Sneaky Pete Kleinow. The booklet contains illustrations of all his Eastbound and Westbound releases, rare photos sourced from the original photographer used on his album covers and a new in-depth interview with Catfish Hodge conducted at the end of last year specially for this CD.
