Genre: Rock

Reading like a who's who of the Long Island, NY indiepop scene, the Chandler Estate features Darren Amadio, Todbot Karasik and Andrea Vaughn - all original members of the infamous My Favorite - as well as Tara Emelye Needham of the under-appreciated Mad Planets, and Bryce Edwards of Boycrazy (who were actually from Portland). With that pedigree, this band's debut EP sounds just as you would expect: lofty indie rock that is both intelligent and dramatic. The production style is very similar to My Favorite, with layers of effected guitars and spot-on vocal harmonies. This all-too-brief disc is a perfect start for a promising band.
