The Awards:! Awarded 'ARTIST OF THE MONTH' January, 2009 on Registermymusic.com!! Congratulations!! This highly anticipated album release brings together Christina Gaudet's music backed by her phenomenal band, featuring the searing sounds of the incredible Rocki Stevens on lead electric guitar, the amazing funk master, Scott Thomas Ferriera on lead acoustic guitar, the award winning producer John Zych on piano and organ, accompanied by the the skillful artistry of Khalil Curtiss and Shenole Latimer on horns and backed by the impeccable rhythm section of Eric Johnson on drums and Nate Steven's on bass! Christina Gaudet Artist/Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Actress, Christina (aka. Christie), grew up in the famous French Quarter of New Orleans, listening to the funky soulful sound of Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, Irma Thomas, Aaron Neville & The Neville Brothers and Wynton Marsalis. It was that gumbo of musical spice that seduced her into an unending love affair with music. One of the highlights of her career was to work with Grammy Winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legends Leiber and Stoller as the lead in their Workshop for Tales of Manhattan (Broadway). She shared the stage with the Tony Award winner Ruth Brown in Stagerlee (Off Broadway), written by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and Grammy Award winner Allen Toussaint. Following that performance, she recorded with Toussaint at his famous SeaSaint Studios in New Orleans and released SeaSaint Sessions with him in 2007. Christina also had the privilege to work on The Middle of Nowhere (Off-Broadway), written by Oscar and Grammy Winner legend Randy Newman and directed by Vondi Curtis Hall, starring with Nick Sercy (known from Stephen Spielberg's Castaway). Internationally Christina has toured throughout Europe in countries such as Germany, Italy, Yugoslavia, France, Austria, England, and Finland. It was a great experience for her to be able to perform at the Schubert Festival in Vienna, Austria. That endeavor led to performing for the great composer Aaron Copeland in a tribute performance to his music. South American tours include Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean Islands. Christina performed at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, (where the Beatles had one of their first performances in the U.S.). Christina has also performed and toured with Allen Toussaint as a featured singer. Her last performance with him was at the Blue Note in Tokyo, Japan. You may often see Christina performing her original music in well-known NYC nightclubs such as The Knitting Factory, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaway's, One If By Land, The Soul Café, The Fire Bird, Le Bar Bat, B Smiths Jazz Club, Desmond's, Golden's and Odessa. Through cabaret theater work in New York, Christina performed for the composer Burton Lane, ('On A Clear Day' for Barbra Streisand) and BroadwayDirector/Producer David Merrick. Christina is working with producers Sam Michaels and Dan Mathews of Klubjumpers on a dance anthem remix of her hit song "Eagles Fly", due out this month. Several Klubjumpers tracks have hit #1 on Billboard Dance Charts throughout the years. Klubjumpers haveworked with artists such as P. Diddy, Mariah Carey, Modonna, Pussy Cat Dolls, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Christina Milian, Frankie J, Eminem, Jennifer Lopez, and Enrique Igleisas. Presently, she is producing, writing, arranging and recording her next album.
