This historical recording is a milestone and it is a reason why he was the withheld for 30 years. If anyone deserves to be called a living legend of the Norwegian free jazz, then this is certainly the Saxophonist, Flutist and Clarinet player Frode Gjerstad. Since the nineteen seventies he was pivotal to more than 50 albums and has free jazz legends such as Evan Parker, Johnny Dyani, John Stevens, Derek Bailey, Barry Guy, Bobby Bradford, Paul Rutherford, Hamid Drake, William Parker Peter Brotzmann, John Edwards, Louis Moholo-Moholo, Han Bennink, and many others played. With detail he has eight albums, with CIRCULATIONE TOTAL ORCHESTRA seven and with the FRODE GJERSTAD TRIO. In 1996 he was awarded the Norwegian Jazz Musician of the Year "and received the Buddy Award 2009. Eivin One Pedersen (1956-2012) was also from Stavanger and was since 1975 and the first Bandgr IDA LUPINO a close friend to come to Stavanger from Frode before they invited John Stevens to and play with them in Detail. He released his solo album, Solo Mio "in 1981 and candidate 1984 AHA !. Your Debt, Keep Nose In Front "was published in the same year offentlichen before they had their name modern. As EXTENDED NOISE verification it two more albums. John Stevens (1940-1994) is an important part of the story of free jazz. His main focus was always on the SPONTANEOUS MUSIC ENSEMBLE, he said he was 1966 with Trevor Watts and Paul Rutherford and faithful until his death in 1994. Detail were intended as a quartet with Johnny Dyani on bass. They played in 1982, a tour in Norway, the Molde Jazz Festival played in the summer and had a tour planned, but Johnny did not make it in time for their first gig at Henie Onstad Art Centre on the outskirts of Oslo, of where this picture was taken.
