Donal is from An Rinn, Country Waterford, and comes from a very musical family (his father is internationally renowned folksinger Liam Clancy and Tommy make m fame). a multi-instrumentalist, Donal deft playing on guitar, 5-string banjo, bouzouki and mandolin adds new color and texture to Irish music. Well known in Irish music circles, Donal is a founding member of the young Irish band, Danu and has played with many different groups over the years, including the Clancy Brothers, Solas, Eileen Ivers and many more!
