This amazingly creative record will appeal to all manner of guitar music fans; Art rockers, pure popists, indie kids and Riot Grrrls alike. Specialising in textured instrumentals, driven by a pounding rhythm section, minimalist guitar and farfisa keyboards, the band's sound is one of infinite acceleration. Lyrically audacious, this all girl quartet use all manner of vocal quirks and tics, and sweet melodies with songs sung in French, German, Spanish and English. "The Valleys" sees a Siegfried Sassoon poem set and arranged for a Chicago choir. The gorgeously building "This Deed" takes it's German lyrics from 'The Gay Science' by Nietzsche, and wraps philosophy around music that could have come from vintage STOOGES. 'The Power Out' was recorded and mixed in 3 weeks by legendary producer STEVE ALBINI.
