This is Fred's follow up recording to Gravity, which has been perhaps his most enduringly popular record. Fred made Gravity after he had re-located to New York, and had become a key figure in the downtown improvising scene. The new album fused the influences of the US and Europe, and is still regarded as one of his finest works. Much of the material was recorded in Switzerland and France in 1980, using musicians from Rock In Opposition band Etron Fou Leloublan. It is also suffused with the sounds of New York.
