With SÉANCE, Get Well Soon releases it's eighth album-a work as dark as it is fascinating, exploring the phenomenon of Artificial Intelligence. What originally began as an artistic experiment with a non-human sparring partner quickly led to a reassuring realization: the real sparks only flew where the technology failed. The attempted collaboration thus transformed into a poignant Gothic album about AI, rich with metaphors from spiritism, philosophical references, and dark drama.Sonically, SÉANCE presents itself as minimalist, atmospheric, and characterized by found-footage sampling. Positioned between threatening Dark Wave, nostalgic references, and orchestral opulence, Konstantin Gropper reflects on the existential questions of our time. An artistic, witty album in Get Well Soon's anniversary year-entirely without artificial flaws.
