The recording features music from 3 recent Star Wars Projects: The Mandalorian, Rogue One and Solo. Michael Giacchino writes of his score for Rogue One: "I had four and a half weeks to write this score, and since it happened so quickly, I think adrenaline just took over. I was only hoping that I could come up with something that I would be happy with when I saw it in the theater. If at that moment, my focus has been on the fact that this was Star Wars, I am not sure I would have been able to get done what I had to do in the time frame I was given. It wasn't until I was on the scoring stage at Fox that it hit me. I decided to have the orchestra play John Williams' main title as a warm up, to set the mood, and to test the mics. It was at that moment I thought, "This is insane that I am getting to do this!". After all, I saw Star Wars when I was nine, and that score and that film is what inspired me and set me on the path that I am on today."
