Jasmine continues it's Roy Hamilton output with a twenty-four track CD containing the singer's Epic label 45s issued between 1960 and 1962. Contains the 'almost a British hit', You Can Have Her together with a mix of musical styles from gospel to blues, ballads and up-tempo tunes including Climb Every Mountain (from the Sound of Music), The Clock (Hamilton's version of the Johnny Ace hit) and I'll Come Running Back To You (written by Sam Cooke). Several of the songs are written by Hamilton's long-time manager Bill Cook. Hamilton had a unique style that ranged from an almost classical technique to soul and gospel which was envied by Elvis Presley and led to the blue-eyed soul stylings of The Righteous Brothers and others. The CD's booklet includes Hamilton's back story, chronicles the two years this CD covers and includes scans of sleeves, labels and press ads.
