Later renamed Akira Okamoto, who provided music to many artists, this 1978 release is under the original name of Issei Okamoto. Listening, you can imagine yourself standing alone at the shore at night as the waves roll out. There are songs lined up that make you feel loneliness and wandering, and also jazzy-pop bops such as the title song 'Moonlight Singing.' Tatsuro Yamashita and Hiroshi Sato play as arrangement musicians. Ryuichi Sakamoto, Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, and other gorgeous members also participated as performers. The high level of expressiveness in the delivery is worth mentioning. In this city pop resurgence, this is one record that shouldn't be looked over.
