A decade between releases and John Long hasn't lost a step. His 2006 debut album "Lost & Found" caught the attention of pre-war country blues aficionados everywhere, even prompting blues legend John Hammond to declare, "Johnny Long is worthy of international attention," in addition to earning a Blues Music Award nomination for Acoustic Album of the Year. "Stand Your Ground" builds on that legacy by delivering another slice of Americana, while also expanding Long's signature sound with the introduction of his amplified acoustic guitar and a rhythm section on several tracks featuring Fred Kaplan on piano, Bill Stuve on upright bass and Washington Rucker on drums.
