With his latest CD 'SWELL', actor and musician Jon Goddard has crafted an album of evocative soundscapes and poetry which manages to distill some of the spirit of American folk music into rural Suffolk, England. On this album (recorded in his own studio), he plays guitars, bass and percussion and among the other artists performing are Rob Spendlove, who handles all the lead vocals and multi-instrumentalist and composer Roger Eno (with whom he tours, playing guitar). Musically, comparisons could be made with such artists as Tom Waits, the Tindersticks, Richard Thompson, John Martyn, Gordon Haskell and T Bone Burnette.
