King Crimson's landmark second album In the Wake of Poseidon returns in a definitive 2025 deluxe edition, presented as a complete audio-only Blu-ray and exclusive Japanese SHM-CD release. Following the acclaimed 50th Anniversary Series format, this edition features Steven Wilson's brand-new 2025 mixes in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround, and high-resolution stereo, alongside David Singleton's imaginative "Elemental Mix," a bold reimagining of what the album might have been. The Blu-ray also includes a high-resolution collection of rare and largely unreleased recording session tracks, newly mixed for this release. As with previous titles in the series, the Blu-ray is European-pressed and manufactured for worldwide distribution, while the SHM-CD edition, exclusive to Japan, includes both Wilson's stereo mix and Singleton's Elemental Mix. The package is housed in a deluxe cardboard sleeve with PP coating and comes with the original English booklet, a complete Japanese translation of the liner notes, new commentary written specifically for this edition, and an extra paper sleeve jacket. Previously available only within the Sailors' Tales box set during the 40th Anniversary era, this marks the first-ever standalone anniversary edition of In the Wake of Poseidon, offering the most immersive and comprehensive audio experience of King Crimson's early masterpiece to date.
