A rare contemporary Afrobeat release created by a young 12-piece band based in Lagos, Nigeria, carrying forward the original revolutionary spirit and musical architecture of classic Afrobeat while bringing a fresh generation's perspective, hypnotic repetition, and immersive musical journeys, ideal for vinyl collectors and DJ audiences. It's historic role as a vehicle for activism and resistance offers an authentic African perspective within a rapidly expanding global market, blending jazz, dub, and West African rhythmic influences. The band features Kiala Nzavotunga, further connecting the project to the Afrobeat lineage through ties to Egypt 80, television appearances, and international exposure through Sofar Sounds and documentary features. With four extended tracks, deep grooves, and a classic Afrobeat album structure, Chaos delivers the kind of focused listening experience highly sought after by vinyl collectors, DJs, and world music enthusiasts.
