On the song's September 2024 release, Leatherwood shared, "Growing up, Country radio is what we listened to at home, so taking this one to the airwaves is a full circle moment for me. He is the winner of season 22 of the American talent competition The Voice and has the distinction of being the first winner of the show to be a Wildcard artist during the live playoffs.
