Lee Moses has remained, for years, one of soul music’s mystery men. His voice is up there with the best and his recorded output of deep soul and funk tracks has made him a legend, but unlike the well documented careers of singers like Bobby Womack, James Carr or Johnny Adams, information on Lee Moses has been more difficult to come by and what information there has been is both complicated and confused, thus he has remained a shadowy cult figure. His amazing music however, speaks volumes. Presented here is a rare album of Lee Moses recordings originally released in 1971, showcasing this enormous, albeit mysterious genius of soul. All selections have been newly remastered.
