Angus Andrew, Aaron Hemphill and Julian Cross have returned with their most stipped-back and direct album yet. Simply titled LIARS, their 4th full-length (recorded in Berlin and LA and mixed in London by Erasure and Depeche Mode producer Gareth Jones). for this new album Liars have forgone theory for a more parctical approach, one based on traditional son structures and instrumental usage. LIARS is a set of songs only connected by the fact that no other band around could make music like this; an album that manges to blance the old, experimentally-minded Liars with an excitingly indisious new pop edge.
