Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of original albums on one disc. One of the finest vocal groups to emerge from the talent-rich New York scene, Little Anthony & the Imperials enjoyed one of the longest career runs of any Rhythm 'n' Blues/Doo Wop group, adapting their honey-smooth style to fit the sweet uptown soul sound of the '60s. Right from the beginning, Little Anthony's aching way with a ballad was the group's calling card, but their repertoire was balanced by R&B-inflected dance tunes. This quintessential CD release contains two of the group's finest albums: their fantastic debut LP WE ARE THE IMPERIALS (1959), and the follow-up SHADES OF THE '40S (1961). These two magnificent records were originally issued by the End label and contain great numbers, such as Tears on My Pillow', 'Oh Yeah', 'Two People in the World', 'If You're but a Dream', and 'All or Nothing at All', among others. Both albums have been remastered and packaged together in this special collector's edition, which also includes six bonus tracks, consisting of hard-to-find sides from the same period.
