Teenage Dixie is a collection of stories with an eccentric underlining tone based in the South. Some are autobiographical, some are true in history books, and some are fables about real figures there. The imagery is painted with symbols and ideas that some only stumble upon by growing up in the "Deep South". The album is meant to be a gateway to the listener for what the atmosphere of the Heart of Dixie is all about. Stories of love, ending and beginning using common southern scenery, and a young adolescent as the vehicle to give the listener an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia. Stories told from a grandson of a man who is larger than life. Topics like vengeance and violence using an infamous gangster, and a family feud dating back to the civil war. Somehow even with such heavy and dark subject matter, the underlining tone of the record is sonically exciting and fun. This record is packed full of energy but also has it's fair share of the mid-tempo "get you in your feels" sound that our fans have adored in the past. This album is just another step in the direction of solidifying our identity as songwriters and artists.
