Recorded between 1959 and 1961 with Ornette's classic quartet of Don Cherry, Charlie Haden and Ed Blackwell (with the notable additions of Scott LaFaro and Jimmy Garrison on a couple of tracks) this record, though not nearly as well known as This Is Our Music or the Shape of Jazz to Come, is every bit as impressive.
