Bach: Orchestral Suites; Parrott, Andrew, Composer: Johann Sebastian Bach, Conductor: Andrew Parrott, Orchestra/Ensemble: Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, Number of Discs: 1 Andrew Parrott's recording of Bach's The Orchestral Suites is the newest addition to the Veritas x2 series. Veritas x2 is a series from Virgin Classics devoted to landmark recordings of early Baroque music. Bach's Orchestral Suites are among the only true orchestral works he wrote for a chamber ensemble. These works were also some of the most French-inspired of all of Bach's compositions. Not only do they sound distinctly French but the movements are named in French. Andrew Parrott leads the Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra in this recording that is also paired with Bach's Triple Concerto.
