Picture disc vinyl. Following the release of "Alessandra" (1972), I Pooh went part ways with their bassist Riccardo Fogli, quickly replaced by Red Canzian, ex-guitarist of Capsicum Red, a band who just broke up after the release of their only LP "Appunti per un'idea fissa". "Parsifal" has always been considered I Pooh's most progressive record, recorded when certain sounds had become so popular that they were also adopted by the most famous artists. As well as Riccardo Cocciante, Lucio Battisti and Fabrizio de André, for example, had been influenced by the growing new musical scene, I Pooh incorporated new prog-rock elements in their own sound. The result is a concept album that is today a must, a symphonic pop/rock jewel that closes with the 2-part long title track, with a completely instrumental second half.
