The recording boasts a wealth of critically acclaimed vocalists. They are accompanied by the Coro e Orchestra del' Oficina Musicum, directed from the harpsichord by Riccardo Favero. Recorded September 2006, Chiesa della Scalabrini, Bassano del Grappa, Italy. The only "modern" recording available as a single issue! Mozart wrote this oratorio, his only one, in his mid-teens, and his genius was immediately evident in the dramatic choruses, moving arias and instrumental brilliance of this early masterwork. Excellent line up of soloists and Italian orchestral forces and conductor.
