No less than Fred Eaglesmith, Slaid Cleaves, and Ray Wylie Hubbard have covered a Rod Picott song and, seven albums later, its long been apparent that Rod made the right move. Always skillful at delivering heartrending stories caressed by soothing melodies, Rod's eighth album, Fortune, sets forth to capture performances with ace musicians such as Will Kimbrough (guitars), Lex Price (bass) and Neilson Hibbard (drums).
