In honor of Britten's birthday on November 22, Rondeau Production releases Britten's Centenary, presenting the multifaceted oeuvre of the British composer. The disc unites the exceptional artistry of the Regensburger Domspatzen under the baton of their director Roland Buchner, harpist Maria Graf, and soprano Susanne Bernhard, who perform Britten's secular and sacred works in a remarkable production. The Regensburger Domspatzen sing the much-loved Ceremony of Carols, a work that musically narrates the Nativity in a unique manner. In her performance of the Suite for Harp, op. 83, Maria Graf resounds Britten's favorite instrument. Together with the soprano, Graf also presents Britten's late works a Birthday Hansel and the Eight Folk Song Arrangements.
