SATHANAS' cult 1996 debut album "Black Earth" in it's Unreleased Original Version! Founded in 1988 with a legacy spanning 36 years comprising 13 Full length studio albums, countless EP's, split releases and live albums, SATHANAS are undeniably a Black Thrash Death Metal scene ICON! The band has relentlessly toured and released new albums, spawning a literal Legion of fans around the world. The legendary debut album from US Black Thrashing Death Metal cult icons SATHANAS returns in it's true original form! Originally recorded in 1995, "Black Earth" was the band's first full-length statement of infernal aggression, forged from the raw spirit of the underground and combining vicious Black Metal darkness, Death Metal brutality, and relentless Thrash attack. This special reissue presents the unreleased original recording of "Black Earth" - the version SATHANAS originally recorded before their first label requested the band re-record the album. The later re-recorded version became the officially released album, but this original recording captures the sound, atmosphere, and vision the band intended from the beginning: darker, rawer, and authentically underground. Featuring classic tracks such as "Black Earth," "Necrolust," "Jaws of Satan," and "Slaughtered for the Gods," this lost chapter in SATHANAS history unleashes the band's earliest incarnation in it's purest form. A vital piece of Black Thrash Death Metal history, "Black Earth" (Unreleased Original Version) is an essential release for longtime followers and devotees of true old-school extreme metal. SATHANAS are the true embodiment of the underground Metal scene and the Devils Death Metal!PRESS:"A real masterpiece of old school blackened thrashing death metal!" -canadianassault. It's a must-listen for fans of old-school extreme metal and a perfect embodiment of the genre's enduring appeal. " -metaldevastationradio. Com"One has to give Sathanas their due for the fact they are originators rather than followers. Equally appealing to blasphemers who worship at the altar of both black and death metal!" -avenoctum.
