Released in October 2005, "Simplified" was Simply Red's ninth album and the second on Mick Hucknall's own label. "Simplified" aptly describes the content. On this album, Mick reinvents some of his best-known and most successful songs, backed by the Simply Red crew. The album includes the hit single 'Perfect Love', and stripped-down versions of the classic hits 'Holding Back The Years', 'Something Got Me Started', 'For Your Babies', 'Ev'ryTime We Say Goodbye' and 'Fairground'.
