Al Staehely cut his musical teeth in his hometown of Austin, Texas. He made his mark in the musical hotbed of Los Angeles in the 70s and returned to Texas to base in Houston. His songs have been recorded by the likes of Keith Moon of the Who, Jefferson Airplane's Marty Balin and Bobbie Gentry among others. SteadyBoy Records has proudly released recordings of Al Staehely's most recent work. Now, we proudly release his post-Spirit solo recordings of the seventies. Post Spirit Vol l is among the best of the LA rock recordings of the time, and it's a perfect continuation of the work that began with Spirit's iconic Feedback album, for which Al Staehely was the driving creative force. Post Spirit is a classic rock experience, wholly representative of it's era in the best way with songwriting that transcends both era and category.
