Vinyl LP pressing. Melbourne duo Super Wild Horses stitch together an intricate patchwork of guitar, drums and keys over dual harmonies and sparse arrangements. Forming the group in 2009, Amy Franz and Hayley McKee have carved a name for themselves locally and internationally as leaders among the lo-fi garage/DIY scene currently exploding out of Australia. In 2012, Super Wild Horses bunkered down with producer Mikey Young (of Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Total Control) and engineer Jack Farley (Twerps, Beaches, St Helens) to complete work on their sophomore album. Crosswords is a reflection on the guessing game of life: The times one gets it right and the times when one is left staring at the aftermath of a bad decision. The duo explores a wider range of influences - Soul, Country, Pop and, at times, even more melancholic tones - alongside their unique brand of garage-driven goodness.
