Swift Eagle, a Pueblo storyteller, singer, and dancer, offers a glimpse into the culture of the Pueblo Indians through the sound recordings on this album. Included is what was likely the first public performance of the ancient legend "The Bear Boy." Liner notes by Charles Gallenkamp, an anthropologist and writer who lived among the Pueblo Indians for several years, include a background of the Pueblo people and their culture. The 24-page booklet also includes color illustrations by Yeffe Kimball and a brief description of each piece.
