Genre: Jazz

This is the long awaited part seven of Tex Beneke's "Glenn Miller Formula". The years 1951 to 1953 saw Tex striking out on his own, with an MGM recording contract, he had previously been tied to the Glenn Miller orchestra under contract to Helen Miller, Glenn Miller's widow. Sadly the MGM lion did not roar loudly enough to promote the band and his 1953 Coral contract only led to a handful of recordings. Tex had to wait until 1959 when he was reunited with the other Glenn Miller singers, Ray Eberly, Paula Kelly and The Modernaires. It was a happy reunion which lasted a dozen years as they stuck to the tried and tested Glenn Miller formula.
