Their 1979 album 'Enlightened Rogues' was a great comeback for The Allman Brothers Band. The group had conclusively ground to a halt three years earlier, after a string of personal tragedies (brother Duane Allman and Berry Oakley's crushing deaths). By December 1978, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, plus drummers Jaimoe and Butch Trucks were already working together again as The Allman Brothers Band were complemented by guitarist Dan Toler and bassist David Goldflies. The album kicks off with a rousing "Crazy Love", featuring backup vocals from Bonnie Bramlett who also joined the band during the subsequent tour. The overall comeback is country/bluesy but they still sound like non other. No music can move one like their music does.
