Limited vinyl LP pressing of the mono version of this classic British album. Though a precursor for Electric Light Orchestra, The Move always put more emphasis on pop and rock than arty tendencies. Featuring Roy Wood, their self-titled debut enthusiastically mixes up powerful art pop with three-chord rock ‘n’ roll oldies and more than a hint of British eccentricity. Though their kaleidoscopic pop didn't quite fit in with contemporaries such as The Who, The Kinks or The Beatles, tying into both psychedelia and pop but lacking blues and jazz roots. Their restless sonic textures did deliver a vivid and imaginative musical idea that still resonate to this day.
