A project created by famed producer Paul Kyser, who has worked with many artists including Stevie Wonder, the Chi-Lites and the Three Degrees, The Super Disco Band album came out in 1976 at the outset of the disco explosion and featured an all-star orchestra that was comprised of Tommy Birdwell (vibes, bells, piano, organ, clavinet, celesta); Paul Kyser (piano, glockenspiel); Jerry Ciccone (lead guitar); Jerry Freeman (guitar); Billy Nichols (guitar); Holly Jones (cabasa, congas, tambourine), Andrew Smith (drums); Bob Babbit (bass) and vocalists Anne Robinson, Diane Walker, Sandra McCullers and Darlene Morrison. The rare album has become highly collectible in disco circles and is now finally available in a newly remastered version in the digital domain.
