CD reissue. The Wannadies were an alternative rock band formed in Skellefteå, northern Sweden. Bagsy Me, their fourth album includes the hit singles 'Someone Somewhere', 'Shorty', 'Friends', 'Hit' and 'You and Me Song'. The songs are uniformly excellent, with the hyperactive 'Damn It I Said' featuring both the album's best chorus and coolest guitar sound and the glorious 'Someone Somewhere' the most singable melody. But it all comes together for one big bang at the end with the awesome nine minutes of 'That's All', a truly great track and captures this criminally underrated band at their very best. They write great songs, play them with an energetic pop guitar sound and you just find yourself smiling.
