This album contains a relaxed set that could have been recorded in a small club rather than in a series of concert halls. The European Quartet's members give Thielemans a sympathetic backing as a result of their long musical association. With Karel Boehlee on the keyboards and a subtle and inventive rhythm section with Hans van Oosterhout on drums and Hein van de Geyn on the double bass Toots' virtuoso does even not begin to describe this sweet kindly old man, who plays the harmonica like a soloist whether it is an old like "I Love You Porgy" or a Brazilian samba or a jazz piece such as "Bluesette". This is sixty years of expertise you hear! This is a stunningly wonderful album from a unique harmonica virtuoso recorded 'LIVE' in 2006, 2007 & 2008.
