Three years ago Comatose Music presented the world with an enticing two track EP of rigorous brutal death metal. The band's tools of torment have been sharpened to fiendish levels of cruelty and the sheer force with which hideous hymns like "Human Bait" are delivered, is breathtaking. With this unbelievable debut album TORTURED have defined the essence of brutal death metal. This is what the genre is meant to sound like. Thrilling, crushing, intimidating... as the hammer blows of "Boiled to Death" and "Barbaric Impalement" rain down you'll either be crying in a corner, begging for it to stop, or smiling in rapture as the perfect payload of putrefaction hits you right between the eyes. Hierophants of horror and heaviness will embrace 'Genetically Engineered Monstrosity's' blood-drenched barbarism and hold it close to their worm-ridden hearts. The mixing and mastering skills of Alexander Borovykh at TsunTsun Productions have given 'Genetically Engineered Monstrosity' the firepower it needs to decimate the opposition and the twisted talents of artist Jon Zig have clothed it in appropriately sickening garb. TORTURED will emerge from the darkness on July 7th, marching beneath the Comatose Music banner and this time there will be no retreat and no quarter given.
