SPECIAL PACKAGING

EU-only collection of true Country classics from 1970. Dim Lights, Thick Smoke, and Hillbilly Music (Country & Western Hitparade) tells the real story of Country music record-by-record, year-by-year. The hits are here, but they're only half the story. The set goes beyond chart books to include groundbreaking records that went nowhere at the time, but influenced generations yet to come. This is the music that influenced the White Stripes, Gillian Welch, Gram Parsons, Nick Cave, the Beatles and many others. In other words, this is the true and uncensored history of Country music. Everything you need to hear, year-by-year, as it happened! Bear Family.
