2014 three CD collection. Compared with other independent labels Old Town Records was never a major player. In the course of 13 years it may have only placed six songs in the Billboard Top 40, but this compilation is proof that quality in music is not always measured by it's popularity with the record-buying public. In addition to highly regarded Doo Wop acts such as the Five Crowns and the Valentines, there are also several Blues artists, none more famous than Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, proving there is quality aplenty.
