Within the thirty featured recordings is a lady with a classy sound and pleasing vocals chords Ella Mae Morse. A friend of Buddy Holly, Gary Dale Tollett who with his wife were part of The Crickets sound on their first hit. There are two former vocalists with The Drifters, Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King and a one time member of The Coasters, Cornell Gunter. David Gates after his flirtation with Rock 'n' Roll became a member of a renowned group Bread, and he is present with an early performance. The album's emphasis is mainly upon lesser known performers and titles which are not overly reissued.
