The Billboard year ends charts listed this label as the #2 Smooth Jazz imprint and that was due in part to many of the hit sides featured on The Ultimate Smooth Jazz #1's volume 3, an ear bending collection of format nuggets from a wide array of the label stars highlighted by #1 Billboard singles from Oli Silk 'At Your Service' and Nick Colionne's 'Slammin.' Many of the tracks featured here marked the emergence of the genre's freshest and most exciting new artists such as producer/keyboard whiz kid Nicholas Cole, young saxophonist Elizabeth Mis, funky trumpeter Lin Rountree and lead bassist extraordinaire Julian Vaughn all of which made strong showings on the national charts in 2015. Sax man Darren Rahn shows off his knack of crafting great vocal tunes with features from Maxine Hardcastle and Joshua and coming off of their own respective #1 records comes two of the formats biggest lady stars, trumpeter Cindy Bradley with her new hit single 'Bliss' and flutist Althea Rene. Saxophonist to the stars Randy Scott adds the finishing touches to this gratifying collection of songs that signal all is well in the smooth world.
