When he decided to record Wagner's Der Fliegende Hollender, a cornerstone in the musical life of the composer, Marc Minkowski decided to include Dietsch's work on the project, which also got the support of the Palazetto Bru Zane - Centre de Musique Romantique Francaise, a foundation whose vocation is to encourage the rediscovery of the French musical heritage of the years between 1780 and 1920, and gain that repertory the international recognition it deserves. The vocal cast is impressive and led by bass-baritone Evgeny Nikitin as Der Hollander. Les Musicians du Louvre Grenoble, on period instruments, once again show their amazing range of colors.
