Green with Black Splatter Vinyl. Composed of writing duo Olive Faber (guitar/vocals), Emily Green (guitar/vocals) and filled out with Christian Billard (drums) and Jonny Ceballos (bass), Star's Revenge is a rock band from New York. Veterans of the NYC scene and international touring - Emily as the guitarist of Geese, Olive as the drummer of Sunflower Bean, Christian as the drummer of legendary noise rock band Turnip King, and Jonny as the multi-instrumentalist powerhouse of Outremont, So Long Goodnight, The Paranoyds (just to name a few) - the group use the project to follow instinct and let songs unfold on their own terms. Listening to Star's Revenge is listening to music by people who love music; girls who grew up on classic rock and have spent their lives since ravenously discovering new sounds. Their songs are soaked in epic riffs and relentless fills, and paired perfectly with Olive's mumble-plead vocals. There's a sense of suspension in their work: moments and memories stretched just long enough to sink in, to replay, to live inside. Their lyrics are often an earnest celebration of the mundane, and their instrumentation transports listeners to far away memories. The result is a sound that feels both transportive and immediate - nostalgic without imitation, familiar yet entirely their own. Since the release of their debut album in 2022, Star's Revenge have christened countless NYC stages with their hypnotic live shows. They have earned a reputation for live performances that blur the line between stage and crowd. Olive might hand her guitar to an audience member or end up singing from the floor, but the spirit is never performative - it's playful and instinctive. They know how to slow and linger and when to pick up and take off. In 2026 the band is gearing up to release their second full length album, Star's Revenge II.  It picks up with Star right where the story left off.  You are dropped into Star's dreamlike world and taken on a trip through love, addiction and friendship. It is an intensely loud record for quiet people. Recorded live to tape at drummer Christian's home studio on Long Island, Star's Revenge II is packed full of empathy, catchy guitar riffs, and ear worm choruses you and your friends will be humming for days. The band is excited to get this record out into the world, while the leaves are turning orange and yellow and the cool air is washing everyone Clean. Onstage and on record alike, Star's Revenge captures the thrill of discovery - the feeling of falling in love with music for the first time, over and over again.
