(LP + DVD) It appears that the well-guarded secret of the past year is out. Last summer Cooper Crain of Bitchin Bajas & Cave was asked to score a remake of the classic short film Water Wrackets (1975) originally directed by legendary British filmmaker, Peter Greenaway. Artists/filmmakers Gabrielle Gobath and Benjamin Funke (Captcha Records) will be releasing the fruits of this project on their new fine art label, Kallistei. After only viewing a 30 second clip of the upcoming film, Cooper composed a wonderfully enlightened vision of this project that would make both Terry Riley and collaborator Bruce Conner to happy to see the torches being passed. It is fascinating to see someone this talented work through the conceptual landscape of a project and create something this beautiful and intriguing. Cooper in the depth of his practice, harmonized perfectly and completely on this recording. Packged in tip-on style gatefold sleeves with DVD and poster included.
