Widely regarded as the crowning achievement of Boz Scaggs' AOR period and the peak of his popularity, this album showcases a highly sophisticated and impeccably refined sound under the direction of producer David Foster, with remarkable Polish supported by Jeff Porcaro on drums, David Hungate on bass, Steve Lukather on guitar, and Ray Parker Jr. On guitar, and includes the hit singles "Breakdown Dead Ahead" which reached US No.15 and "Jojo" which reached US No.17, released during a period that also saw an enormously popular Japan tour with concerts broadcast on television; this Japan-only edition features a hybrid disc with an SACD stereo layer and a CD stereo layer produced from the 2023 remastered audio, is housed in a 7-inch cardboard sleeve that faithfully reproduces the original LP artwork, comes with an obi strip replicating the original Japanese edition, includes a reproduction jacket of the EP single cut from the album, and is completed with newly written liner notes, full lyrics, and Japanese translations.
