Daevid Allen has been a highly respected figure in the progressive music circle for over 40 years. On 'Divided Alien' Allen used the then embryonic sampling and video technology resulting in this discordant, experimental set of layered tape-looping and Allen's sung/spoken poetry and unique guitar solos. This reissue includes the four hard to find bonus tracks 'Bananareggae', 'Are You Ready', 'Oo, La La' & 'Side Windo', all of which were recorded in Jamaica in 1978. Comes packaged in an attractive digipak reproducing the original album's artwork, credits and sleeve notes, in addition to a new authoritative commentary on the recordings. Snapper. 2005.
