Often touted as the most soulful group of the disco era, the Trammps grew from the Philadelphia based 1960s group The Volcanos, who later became the Moods. By the early 1970s, the band emerged as The Trammps with a lineup that featured lead vocalist Jimmy Ellis, drummer and bass singer Earl Young, Robert Upchurch and brothers Stanley and Harold "Doc" Wade. Among their many hits, the Trammps lit the world on fire with their 1976 smash hit, "Disco Inferno." Miami's premier electro-disco collective, the fabulous Disco Chammps, pay homage to this legendary group with their unique cover of one of the Trammps biggest hits, the classic "Disco Party." The new single features 5 exclusive mixes including bonus instrumental and acappella versions. .
